Corazón Maya Spanish School offers two types of housing for students: Family home stays and school housing.
Family home stays are popular with students because they allow them to learn more about authentic Guatemalan life and practice their Spanish at home with fluent speakers. For $55 U.S. per week, you will be provided with a private room with your own key, a shared bathroom with hot water, and three meals per day, seven days per week. Our host families are all local families of San Pedro, and during your stay you will be treated like an additional member of the family. Your family might invite you to help prepare traditional Guatemalan foods, or take you to the market to buy fruits and vegetables. Most of our families have children, therefore interaction with all members of the family is guaranteed! Some also offer laundry services at reduced rates and all can prepare delicious vegetarian meals if you prefer.
School housing: All of our bungalows include kitchen - as well as laundry facilities and are just a 1-minute walk from a nice beach on Lake Atitlán.
