In addition to our world-class Spanish classes, Corazón Maya Spanish School also organizes free daily activities unlike any others offered in San Pedro. Our activities are designed to be fun, to build community among our students and teachers, and to give students a more intimate perspective into Guatemalan culture.

Typical activities include:

• Conferences on Guatemalan history, economy or education.
• A visit to the local cultural center to find your Mayan birth symbol.
• Student/teacher dinners with Guatemalan cooking lessons.
• Movies and videos about Hispanic and Latino culture.
• Weekend hikes to volcanos, local markets, or other points of interest.
• Visits to local artists of San Pedro La Laguna.
• Sport competitions & games (e.g. table tennis).
